Terms of service

Using the IndicationIQ workspace

These terms govern account access and use of the platform. Exporting client deliverables requires separate acceptance of the export terms each time you download a report.

Last updated: June 2026

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the IndicationIQ workspace at indicationiq.app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms (version 2026-06-11).

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. The organisation is responsible for its users' compliance.

What the Service does

IndicationIQ helps pharmaceutical insight teams and agencies collect, review, and export evidence from publicly posted social media and open forum content, scoped to a configured medical indication.

Outputs are research inputs — named unmet needs, language patterns, HCP themes, and supporting verbatim quotes — not medical, regulatory, or legal advice.

Data protection roles

For research processing within the Service, your client organisation (or your own organisation, if you are the end client) is typically the data controller. IndicationIQ acts as a data processor and processes personal data only under the controller's documented instructions and a signed data processing agreement.

Our privacy notice explains how we handle publicly posted content. Exporting client deliverables is additionally governed by our export terms, which you must accept before each report download.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Contact, advertise to, or profile individuals identified in source material for marketing purposes
  • Build or maintain a standing, searchable database of identifiable patients across projects or clients
  • Reuse one client's project data for another client or purpose without a new lawful basis and contract
  • Train machine-learning models on verbatim quotes stored in the Service
  • Scrape or attempt to access closed, login-gated, or private health communities through the Service
  • Violate applicable law, platform terms, or third-party rights

Accounts and security

You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

Intellectual property

IndicationIQ retains all rights in the Service, software, and branding. You retain rights in your configuration, review decisions, and exported deliverables, subject to the rights of third parties in underlying source posts.

You grant IndicationIQ a limited licence to host and process your project data solely to operate the Service under your instructions.

Availability and changes

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Public platform APIs and collection methods may change without notice, affecting coverage for a given indication.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new version date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant completeness of public-source coverage, absence of error in automated coding, or fitness for a particular regulatory submission.

To the extent permitted by law, IndicationIQ is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of insights or exports. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to fees paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or £100 if no fees have been paid, unless a mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for operational, legal, or security reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including data protection obligations, acceptable-use restrictions, and liability limits) continue after termination.
